I like the concept of Steem and being able to participate at such an early period in it's development. I have myself been coming to the realization that we are at the brink of (potentially) jumping into a whole new era of interconnectedness and cooperation as a species. One that is not dependent upon guidance from a small group of elected or appointed "masters" or a media structure that restricts, censors and "interprets" everything we see regarding the world around us.
I think that crowdsourced news reports are the future and that real time video streaming is the tool that will enable and encourage turning the world into one big neighborhood where people can make friends and long standing relationships with other people all over the world irrespective of national boundaries, religious views or social limitations.
