AWW 169 students get degrees in convocation

In the sixth convocation of Asian University for Women, 169 students will be given degrees. The convocation ceremony began on Saturday (May 12) at 11 o'clock in the city's Radisson Blu.

Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali is present as the chief guest of the convocation.

University Chancellor Charley Blair, Chairman of Board of Trustees and Member of Parliament Dr. Dipu Moni, university founder Kamal Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor Prof Nirmala Rao are also present.

Nobel laureate Tawakkal Carman and Nobel laureate Ismail Sarajel Din will be given Honorary Doctorate degree in the convocation.

The convocation ceremony began on Friday (May 11th) for two days. The first meeting and seminar was held on the first day.

Nobel laureate Tawakkal Karman, human rights activist and UN officials and various university professors spoke on the occasion.
