She sat down on the floor of her kitchen, eyes swollen from crying profusely. She wished she could turn back the hands of time. It had been seven months since her fiance; Ejiro passed away.
He was everything to her. When she lost her family to a plane crash, he became her family and closest friend. Nobody loved her like he did. She shouldn't have asked him to come pick her up from the motor park that day. If only she had boarded a cab, he would still be alive. What if she didn't decide to come back that day, things wouldn't be the way they were; he'd be here cooking dinner for her. She barely ate these days; food had lost its taste. She looked terrible.
For her, life had lost its meaning, there was no point living. She wished death would just wrap her in its cold embrace.
Mrs Helen walked into the kitchen to see her on the floor crying. "My daughter, enough of the crying. He was my son too. Life as we know it, is unfair; the bad and the good suffer the same fate. Don't worry we'll overcome." She said
