Whales spend their time singing, leaping and diving. But not Bluette. When her cousins call her, she answers! "I'm on a mission !"
For Bluette is a rescuer at sea. She has already saved Marin the parrotfish, caught in a net, Bob the crab, wedged under a rock, and Feather the seagull, poisoned by the oil of a freighter.
Sometimes Bluette regrets being too busy to play. But what would the inhabitants of the ocean do without it?
One night, during her night shift, Bluette heard a noise. A star fell from the sky near Green Island! The whale springs to save her.
On the way, she meets Tremblote the octopus, who calls for the rescue. He woke up with tangled tentacles! Bluette disenturbates him and resumes his race. On the way, she crosses Pepin the dolphin, attacked by a shark.
Bluette rushes on the shark and with a stroke of the tail makes him roll off. The shark spins without turning around. "What a beautiful job mine is," Bluette muses.
The whale finally arrives at Green Island. There, she discovers the star, trying to swim. Bluette slips it on her back, and throws it on the shore in a jet of water. "Here you are saved! trumpet the whale. You can fly. "
Instead of thanking her, the star, whose name is Céleste, grumbles: "I did not ask you for anything! I want to be a starfish, so leave me alone. "Bluette is stunned. For the first time, we reject it!
She is so upset that she is swimming without looking. And she does not notice the net in front of her. Suddenly ... it's trapped! Tremblote, who passes nearby, sees Bluette trapped. The octopus goes for Pepin, Bob, Plume and Marin, which the whale saved.
With pecks, Plume cuts the net; Bob is doing the same. Tremblette and Pépin help Bluette go out without getting hurt.
"Thank you for saving me! said Bluette to his friends. You have done well: do you want to become my teammates? "
Tremblote, Pépin, Bob, Plume and Marin agree: Bluette has a good job, and they will be happy to help him. Celeste, who has seen everything, is a little embarrassed. But she has an idea to catch up ...
From now on, the bluette's forehead shines Celeste. Thanks to the light of the star, Bluette is no longer likely to be caught in a net.
And his new teammates found him a nickname: "the sheriff of the seas!"
When Bluette wants to play, his teammates take over. Like all whales, she can jump, sing and have fun.
