We've had quite the time here in Colorado... but will leave it at that, for now. 😉

I've just been popping back into Steemland after a few days of hiatus. And what do my eyes spy?!

And that is an excellent question!

If you've not followed him yet, @papa-pepper is one of the good ones.😍 LOL! For real, though, he's constantly hosting contests that bring folks together and get them chatting. It's quite wonderful. This week he's running WILD & STRANGE CONTEST SEASON 11 ROUND 2 - ART. Deadline is Sunday, so you still have some time to make the above image into a magnificent masterpiece... Just don't make it better than mine. 😆

Instantly, when seeing this image I thought 👽ALIENS.👽 I mean, who didn't?! 😏

To begin, I needed to grab the image. Steemit makes this quite easy. You simply need to right click on the image and then save it wherever your heart desires. At this time I also right clicked and chose Inspect, this gives me all the info about the image. I am specifically looking for the exact dimensions so I can work with the entire pic. This one was 1082x811.

I uploaded the image into Canva.com. Never been? You should totally check it out. It's a FREE service (you can upgrade) where everything is stored in the cloud. As far as editing goes, it doesn't do everything, but it totally works for most things. When first signing in you'll be asked to CREATE A DESIGN or USE CUSTOM DIMENSIONS. You'll choose the latter and enter the dimensions you found.

Next, I used Google images to LEGALLY search spaceships and aliens to use in my new digital art. Don't know how to search for legal images? Check this out! 💥 Game Changer! 💥 How to LEGALLY use Googled images!💥.

After finding the perfect ones (and some sweet sunglasses🕶️ ), I started creating my scene.

I added a few spaceships (an obvious addition).
Then, the beams of light and a few other cows so the viewer is SURE of what is happening.
And finally, some scary aliens traipsing across the fields. Seriously, those even freak me out a little. 😱
Sunglasses, cause @fishyculture and @longsilver are cool like that. 😎
And some snow around the edges, like a border. Cause why not?
Lastly, I added the Steem logo to each of their shirts. 😃

I had previously decided I wanted the image to look older and popped it into another program to mess with color.

LunaPic.com is my daily go-to to SHRINK my Memojis. You know, the little cartoons of me? I mostly use them FULL SIZE in posts, but find them much too abrasive that size in comments. No one likes being yeld at. Even if it IS congratulations. 😉 I simply right click and copy the image address directly from my Bitmoji add-on in Chrome and add the address to LunaPic. I'm able to click SCALE from there and make my Memoji 150x150 pixels... simply PERFECT for a comment. 😍

I also use LunaPic on occasion to mess with the color of an image or the style. It's SUPER fun. Like, whoa. 😲I could spend hours messing with things.

Below are the FOUR other options I ended up liking. So, technically, I'm entering 5 images... I don't think there's a limit....🤔

First, I simply softened the light in the over-all image. Attempting to make those aliens looks real. 😉

I was still wanting the image to look older so I tried this:

Pretty good, pretty good.

But I was still feeling like playing around.... I was attempting to find something that looked more drawn. It actually makes the aliens looks a little scarier! What?!
