John F. Kennedy Jr. : The President Who Would Never Serve

I never really thought about this much because JFK Jr.’s death was before a lot of my political awakening, but it does seem like a sure thing that he would have eventually become President if he had not died, likely better said if he had not been murdered.

In 1998 he approved the article for print in his political magazine ‘George’ about: Empower the People: A 7-Step Plan to Overthrow the Conspiracy That Is Stealing Your Money and Freedom, declared that, if he were president, he would repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.

Before his death he was just beginning his political trajectory: He had been thinking about running for the N.Y. Senate seat — he even had meetings about it that spring — but by July had concluded he would focus his attention on running for governor of N.Y. in 2003 to gain the executive experience needed to be President.
