Is Chaos Normal?

From the mind of James Tynion IV comes "the oddly pedestrian life of Christopher Chaos." It began publishing with Dark Horse Comics last year and Tate Brombal ran with the script for the first issue. Produced with a glossy finish, kudos should go to Isaac Goodhart and Miguel Muerto for their contributions to the stellar artwork. Even the lettering by Aditya Bidikar was bold enough to punch you in the face!

Obviously, none of that would make a damn bit of difference if the story didn't live up to its production values and it did. Christopher Chaos is not like many of his classmates but he wishes he was. Even more so, he is attracted to the leading man in the school's Drama Club. Unbeknownst to Chaos, this leading man (Hayden) has a secret of his own. Thinking that Hayden is embarrassed to be around him, Chaos follows Hayden as he was running into the woods and watches him change into a wolf. Much different than Christopher's problem of breaking everything down into patterns and equations, Hayden is killed by hunters dressed in white garb.

Unable to tell what he saw, as well as other things, to his mom, Chaos confides in Peggy, a pigeon. However, when Chaos views Peggy fly into a garbage truck, he is crushed. He fixes Peggy by bringing her to his lab in his garage. Setting this Frankenstein bird free, Peggy finds herself in the sights of a mysterious stranger while she is hanging in a park with other pigeons. Where is this leading? I can only offer the hint revealed after this story ended that it may have something to do with the arrival of Dracula Boy!
