Hello, Steemians! This marvellous two-tone flower received its name in honor of Gayara de Charenton, who was a renowned philanthropist and a member of the Paris Academy of Sciences.

About gailardia there are many legends. In one of them it is said that once one king, walking in his garden, saw drooping flowers and dying trees... Oaks complained to him that die and can't be tall and slender as the pines. Pine trees were upset because they are not able to give delicious fruits such as the vine. And the vine lamented the fact that it is not as fragrant as blooming roses.

In this garden, however, there was only one flower, which did not complain about anything and was happy with everything. Flower always seemed fresh and festive, and then the king decided to talk to him, he realized that gaylardia tries to decorate the life of any person with its bright appearance.
