Went for a power walk down to the Willamette River, Eugene, OR with a visitor a couple days ago. Summer has been amazingly beautiful.
We are having a bit of a heat wave and it sure feels great to walk with the river breeze and smell of fresh water. There are many birds of prey that live by this river. Every time I drive by I see an Osprey or Bald Eagle sitting on the branches of the tallest dead trees around. There are big giant towers the city has installed with a flat area so the Osprey can build their nests.
