Color Challenge : Sunday Purple with a little more information ;)

The purple color is one of my favorites and I decided today I'll write something about it. You won't believe what I found out and wrote it down about purple color during the years since I started to love it (unfortunately, I forgot to write down the sources, and I really hope you don't mind).

A few general facts about the color

  • The purple color is the color of imagination and spirituality. It stimulates imagination and inspires high ideals. It is an introspective color that allows us to get in touch with our deeper thoughts.

  • It contains energy and power of red color and the spirituality and integrity of the blue. It combines body and mind and creates a balance between our physical and psychic energy. It helps people looking for the meaning of life and spiritual fulfillment.

  • In terms of colors, purple color represents the future, imagination, dreams. Spiritually calms emotions, increases our mental capacity, spiritual enlightenment, but nevertheless keeps us firmly on the ground.

  • In terms of color psychology, violet color stimulates the harmony of emotions that contribute to the mental balance and stability and harmony of the mind, the connection between the spiritual and the physical world, between thinking and acting.

  • Purple color stimulates sensitivity and compassion. It can also stimulate and exacerbate depression.

Physiological meaning

  • Purple color soothes, alleviates heat rash, burns, balances digestion, affects the brain and nerves and increases organic resistance.

Psychological meaning

  • Purple is associated with shiny things, but it has a calming effect like the green color. Psychological effects are creativity, reflection, artistic inspiration, intuition, protection. mystery, spirituality, ...

Color of the soul

  • If you dress in purple, you are sensitive and full of compassion. You can consolidate your self-confidence with a touch of red (like lilac or cyclamen color). If you don't like purple, the creative brakes or problems with authority might be the reason for it.

Importance of purple color in space

  • The purple color is suitable for bedrooms, bathrooms, and rooms in which we relax, meditate. It should be used for additives and smaller surfaces, as it brings calm and mental balance.

Importance of purple color in clothes

  • The purple color represents luxury, wealth and sophistication. It is the color of royalty. People who want peace, careless love, people for meditation or prayer should wear purple as they bring peace and tranquility. People who don't like silence should be avoided or even if you are hypersensitive or want to be accepted by the company.

Symbolics of purple color

  • Purple color symbolizes nobility, spirituality, solemnity, mystery, wisdom, enlightenment, arrogance, mourning, ...

Chromotherapy

  • Purple color relaxes muscles and soothes nerves. Blessing affects all glands with internal excretion, on mental and nervous problems, stimulates the functioning of the spleen, facilitates the functioning of the lymphatic, cardiovascular and vascular systems. It is used in the treatment of mental illnesses, skin diseases, meningitis, sciatica, tumors, rheumatism, bladder problems,... Apparently purple color has also a beneficial effect on increased sexual activity in women.

The meaning of purple color in cultures and religion

  • The purple color is very popular with people who are not influenced by cultural civilization. In civilized and complicated cultures, it is not so popular.
  • Among the Buddhists, in addition to yellow and orange, purple clothes are also popular.
  • The purple color is the color of Hinduism and feminism (symbolizing women's right to power and equality with men).
  • Purple symbolizes the bishop's position.
  • It is the color of penance and fasting before Easter and Christmas.
  • Purple connects the physical world (red) with the spiritual world of the sky (blue), into the magical world of mystery (purple), where completely different rules apply.
  • Kings, rulers, and priests dressed in purple. This precious dye could be used only by the most generous, so it was always associated with nobility and spiritual authority.
  • Often babies have turned into a mild purple color, as prosperity and success are supposed to bring him.
  • Purple is the color of mourning in Brazil and Thailand
  • The scarlet heart is the recognition of wounded and dead soldiers.
  • Purple gowns represent authority and position.
