Color challenge- Saturday indigo

Indigo dye is an organic compound that has a distinctive blue color. Historically, indigo was a natural dye extracted from  leaves of certain plants. This process was  economically important due to blue dyes once being  rare. A large percentage of indigo dye is produced today, about several thousand tons each year. It is the blue often associated with blue jeans and cotton.
