The sale took place in an auction held last Wednesday in Anaheim, California.

One of the coins known as "Birch Cent," sold for Rp 6.8 billion.

Meanwhile, another coin called "Silver Center Cent," sells for 352,500 US dollars or about Rp 4.6 billion.

Eric Bradley, a spokeswoman for the Warisan auction house, said even the sales figures of the two coins did not reach $ 1 million as expected, but the committee remains satisfied with this achievement.

"The coins sold over 43 million times," Bradley said.

"So, we are not rewarded with disappointment with this achievement," he continued, like the Associated Press.

However, it is unclear why one of the coins has a price higher than a single coin.

"Yes, the market does accept it at a different price, maybe that's it," Bradley said of the price difference.
