1. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe
Ethiopian coffee is well known for its sweet acidic & fruity taste notes.
The Portland Project Ethiopia Yirgacheffe has distinctive taste notes of bergamot lime, dark peach and a slight hint similar to that of appricots
Altitude
The Ethiopia Yirgacheffe is composed of beans grown and an altitude between 1900-2100 above mean sea level. Coffee grown at higher sea levels tend to have wine, fruit, spice or floral notes to it. The higher the altitude is , the lower the temperature will be.
Cold temperature slows down the growth rate of the plant. A slower growth rate means that the plants energy supply means that the crop focuses more on bean production (reproduction). This means more sugars are concentrated within the coffee berries which gives these coffee beans its incredible flavor profile .
Process
These coffee beans are washed, as the washing process physically removes any impurities and gives the coffee a cleaner taste
