Although the international community did not seem to write to protest to the extent they did about the Rohingya issue, more media outlets are certainly beginning to write about the christian persecution as well. This is an encouraging sign.
After carrying out what the United Nations called “textbook example of ethnic cleansing” against the Rohingya Muslim minority, the Myanmar military is now conducting what is perceived to be a secret genocide against the minority Christian Kachin.
According to Sky News, the attacks are carried out from the air or by artillery.
According to one local, the violence against them may not be as sudden as the violence perpetrated on the Rohingya but the intentions are just the same.
