The Ear and Hearing

saved!.jpg

And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Mark 4:9..

The Lord Jesus spake to His brethren that the individuals who had ears should listen, and should hear. He knew fully well of those who were in the congregation during His preaching, He knew many won't pay attention or take heed of the word of God which they heard.

Christ Jesus also showed the fundamental difference between hearing, listening, and doing. To hear means to detect sound, while listening can be seen as the ability of making sense of and also understanding the spoken words.

At the time Christ Jesus made the statement, He practically talked to the people who have ears and are willing to listening and take the word of God to effect.

Dear reader, do you hear, listen, and carryout the word of God? It is very important to ask yourself this question. Remember, faith comes by hearing the word of God, but faith is manifested by doing the word.
