Kanino ka unang lumalapit kapag may problema ka?
On one of our Sunday services, Pstr. Eugene Bayon-on preached about the life of King Jehoshaphat "A man who won the war without fighting".

In 2 Chronicles 20:1-30 the tribe of Judah faced a great problem. The two of the most powerful army: the Moabites and Ammonites, together with Meunites, came to wage war against Jehoshaphat who is the king of Judah during that time.
Despite of their capabilities and capacity, the tribe of Judah won the battle.

How did they won the battle?

  1. They sought the LORD first.
"Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. The people of Judah came together to seek help from the Lord; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him." (2 Chronicles 20:3-4 NIV)

Noong narinig ni Jehoshaphat na may paparating na kalaban, instead of preparing first his army for the battle, he first sought the Lord.
He responded to his fear wisely by seeking God first.
Kapag may problema ka, ano ang una mong ginagawa?
King Jehoshaphat knew that their only hope in their situation is God!

  1. They recognized that it is not their battle
Ang pinakamatinding panalo na mapapanalo mo ay yung ang Diyos ang lumaban sa'yo. There's a time for us to fight, but there's a time to pray.

  2. They praised God
May malaki mang problema, mas malaki ang Diyos diyan!
Do not underestimate the power of prayer and fasting because these are your greatest weapon in every battle! Seek God first and recognize that it is not your battle but God's.

As we seek God it enables us to recognize that the battle is the Lord's, that victory is release through praise and worship.
