When we were young churches would have rally Sunday. It was a glorious time as many children wold learn of Jesus. In Sunday School we would sing those rally songs, see the Christian flag and put our coins in a church shaped bank before going off to class. I remember it fondly as it was like a pep rally for Jesus. The rally day mimicked the secular start of school. Oh to bring back those days again. They offered our youth a biblical foundation to start their little lives. Children would come from far and near as the church bell rang loudly announcing that Jesus is alive in our communities and our hearts. Today mom and day are too tired from working long hours to get Johnnie and Susie up for church. Instead they play on their tablets or ipods most of the day.
As the child progresses they do not duplicate the spiritual or moral values that their parents or grandparents held dear. With each generation the bar is lowered. As the youth is the future of a country, it also can become the decay and eventual fall of a nation left unchecked. Folks think that this problem has progressed over the past decade or so. just look at the past 100 years. it starts slowly with the raising of the hemline or introduction of informality in culture. Within a few decades the music, art, literature, communication,lifestyles and morals have diminished. We took off the top hat first, followed by the tie, suit coat, suit. we went to jeans, cut offs, see though material and sometimes no material at all. A culture who is undressed against its enemy will be taken slaughter in a short time.
We need to take a stand and protect the future of humanity. We need to reach out and offer a solid biblical foundation to our youth before it is too late. We need to brush off that intoxicated dust of hypnotic apathy and fear and rally our children for Christ. I would encourage each one of you out there to go door to invite families to your church. Knock on their doors and be kind and gentle. Our future depends upon it.

We may remember this old rally song played and sang for church rally day. Enjoy the memory. I looked on youtube and this was he only one of children singing this song available. Don't children in other countries still sing this great hymn? Oh well Let's wake up our youth to Christ.
