In my many years of playing piano, I have often felt like I was driving a car. It is like the music moves you in different directions and you are at the steering wheel. As you play you direct the path it takes. Many times the music is moving at a rapid clip. You do not have time to check in the rear view mirror or look for pedestrians. You may see things along the journey and glance briefly but keep steering forward as the music takes you where it will lead. It is a wonderful experience. I found this true in jazz and upbeat music. As a trained musician I so enjoy this. It gets me all keyed up!
It is amazing and ironic that life is this way. You take many twists and turns. You do not have time to look back in the rear view mirror. You just go with it. It is called flying by the seat of your pants and it can be a wonderful time for those who chose to go with the flow as you let life lead you where you should go. Indeed it is an adventure and what makes life real and rewarding. At this point you are now a participant on the stage of life. You are traveling through those twists and turns and facing them with courage and confidence that something out there is guiding you though all of this.
The same can be said when you let God lead your life. He can take you in new wonderful directions you have never been before. It can be rewarding and beautiful as he molds you and shapes you into an new and glorious person hand-crafted by the master himself. Take a moment and take your eyes off of that rear view mirror and set your eyes of Jesus. Let Him take charge of that steering wheel. Let Him guide you though those weird curvy and crazy roads in your life. Let Him create that wonderful music that will shape your life as he guides the steering wheel of your life or the y piano keys of your of your world. He will create wonderful heavenly music if you allow Him to. It is up to you. Invite Him into your heart today.
