Chinese brands dominate global smartphone shipments rankings

According to the latest report from IC Insights, a market research organization, except for Samsung Electronics, which dominates the high-end product market, and Apple’s LG, South Korea's top 12 smartphone suppliers (shipping units) are from the Chinese brand industry.

It is noteworthy that Samsung and Apple, which ranked third among the world's largest and second-largest suppliers in 2017, accounted for more than one-third of the total smartphone shipments, totaling 1.5 billion; followed by Huawei, OPPO, and Vivo. , Xiaomi, Lenovo, ZTE, TCL, Jinli, and LeTV/Cool are among a series of Chinese brands.

The IC Insights report also pointed out that OPPO and Vivo, which are the fourth and fifth largest smartphone suppliers, are actually the parent companies of BBK Electronics.
