Chibis as an investment?

Hello Steemians!

Chibi Fighters is about to start the Beta 0.1 and now you have a unique opportunity. Anyone who invests here early now will be at the top of the food chain. I wouldn’t say that if I wasn’t convinced of it myself and because I do the job properly, I invested.

Chibi Fighters is a blockchain-based virtual game developed by the brothers Garry and Alexander Runke, from Berlin, and has been continuously developed since its launch on February 14, 2018. Chibi Fighters is based on the Ethereum blockchain, so Ether (ETH) is used for all transactions.

In this article I write about the aspect of Chibis as an investment and report in detail about my purchases.

Pre-sale

So-called Founder Chibi Fighters [FCF] could be bought as part of the pre-sale. The Founder Chibi Fighters are equipped with some special features. Founder Chibi Fighters carry totally wacky weapons and own a special marking. A total of 2,134 Founder Chibi Fighters were sold for 0.01 Ether (ETH) each and these special Chibis are never available again. The only way to get this Chibi is to buy it from another player.

I bought 32 Founders Chibi Fighters for a total of 0.320 Ether (ETH).

The pre-sale is now finished and since the number of these special Chibis is limited, it can be assumed that the value of this Chibis will increase, as far as Garry does his job well - and I’m convinced of that.

Since I’m also an active player, it’s not necessarily smart to tell this, but never mind. My personal strategy is “hold and buy up”.

Legendary Boss Monsters

In the second and final phase of the pre-sale the so-called Legendary Boss Monsters are on sale, which will become a relevant component in the course of the game. Legendary Boss monsters are extremely limited and unique and offer some interesting features.

These legendary Boss Monsters are available:

  • Lizard People (3 pieces)
  • Lizard’s Pet (3 pieces)
  • Stomper (10 pieces)
  • Minotaur (10 pieces)

The number of limits is given in parentheses. Legendary Boss Monsters will have special characteristics. These will be revealed over time. Your legendary boss monsters are a kind of boss in this game and they can be regularly challenged by Chibis.

You are mentioned as the owner (if you want) and you also get Ether (ETH)! So your investment pays a dividend.

If you nourish and cherish for your Legendary Boss Monsters, you can also re-sell them if necessary. I bought 2 of 10 Stomper.

That’s Stomper…

I think Stomper looks fabulous. I can’t get enough of him.

Sale at auction

Slowly the first third of the auction is reached and as you can clearly see below, Lizard People and Lizard’s Pet stand out in price obviously. This is very clear due to the special limitation of 3 pieces each. In addition, the two Lizard bosses are linked in the game mechanics (which I will go into more detail on in another article) and show an additional, unique feature that makes them extraordinarily desirable and valuable. Both are at the undisputed top of the food chain in Chibi Fighters.

But don’t underestimate the other two boss monsters — Stomper and Minotaur!

The four Legendary Boss Monsters are currently auctioned on the Chibi Fighters website via Hot Potato Bidding. Hot Potato Bidding is an auction, where you get a little ETH as soon as you are outbid. That also turns it into a fun event.

chibi fighters - legendary boss monster

In addition, 10 legendary Chibis (Squid Avatar) are currently being auctioned. These are more regular Chibis, not legendary boss monsters! However, since only 5 of 1,000 Chibis are legendary, these Chibis are extremely valuable, but they don’t have the characteristics of the legendary Boss monsters. For a better understanding of the difference, I list Squid Avatar here separately…

Squid Avatar:

  1. Squid Avatar 1/10: 0.683 Ether (ETH) sold
  2. Squid Avatar 2/10: 1.070 Ether (ETH) sold
  3. Squid Avatar 3/10: 0.718 Ether (ETH) sold
  4. Squid Avatar 4/10: 0.718 Ether (ETH) sold
  5. Squid Avatar 5/10: 0.718 Ether (ETH) sold
  6. Squid Avatar 6/10: 1.037 Ether currently being auctioned
  7. Squid Avatar 7/10:
  8. Squid Avatar 8/10:
  9. Squid Avatar 9/10:

Collecting and Trading

Collecting and trading is part of the game for me and I really enjoy it. These two aspects are extremely important. This started very early with e.g. colonization and civilization.

With the CryptoKitties I actually made 2.500,00 USD in less than 2 weeks by trading not so long ago. So that was profitable and a lot of fun. The problem with the CryptoKitties was the much too fast release of the Gen0 Kitties, which led to inflation and destroyed the market.

We wouldn’t fall into this trap with Chibi Fighters, because we have recognized the problem! It is extremely important to implement the publication in such a way that the value doesn’t fall under any circumstances, but has a high potential to increase. This is one of the main reasons why the Legendary Boss Monsters are now enormously limited.

To bring a little fun in here, I will give this article an @steem-bounty over 5.000 STEEM! Meaningful feedback and suggestions/ideas of any kind regarding the Chibis are very welcome and will be rewarded with a big upvote.

In the coming articles, I will report in detail about the individual Legendary Boss Monsters and then you can also get to know Stomper.

CHIBIIIIIII!

Best regards
Oliver
