I've started a new project based on some ideas rattling around in my brain, basically to use the onsite wardrobe function of Subeta to create new characters and worlds to help relieve some of the creativity that's been building up in my head and encourage my own creativity as well :)

History: Mela has no origins, they are simply a construct made from solid shadow and the will of a coven of witches. They intended for Mela to be a servant for them, but that all went terribly wrong when they underestimated the strength of what they had summoned. Mela was made with personality, and it was a particularly nasty one. As soon as they realized that the wards the witches had set up was not enough to contain them they slaughtered everyone and moved on into the world.
Such creatures come into being with personality and the knowledge of how to do things such as speak and walk but no real memories of anything before their existence. So Mela wanted to wander, to see the world and what it had to offer. While many are afraid of such a creature when they see it, most know better than to try anything lest they end up like those that brought it into being. Even most witches steer clear, for only with great numbers or great power could such a creature be subdued.
Mela doesn't care. They work when they can, and try to live as any other creature would to just have the experience of life for themselves. In most cases as long as they don't cause trouble they're at least tolerated by most people, and that's the way Mela likes it. Solitary, in the shadows, listening to and watching the world from the safety of their solitude because they simply do not yet know what it is to have known friendship or love. And in their opinion, that's for the best as such things will only hurt them.
