History: The Infernal realm is parallel to the Overworld, and home to several species including demons and many sort of similar entities. Like the Overworld, it's divided into many sections and each one has a ruling family. The Valencia family rules Oreai, and Kian is just one of many children to the current king and queen. Sure he's in line for the throne, but he really doesn't care much about that since it's so low and the political game is not one he cares to play.
Instead, Kian prefers knowledge. He spends his time in libraries, learning as much as he can about every subject possible and even makes frequent trips to the Overworld to visit their places and learn even more. Sometimes he gets an assassination attempt or something similar from one of his siblings that just wants him out of the way but Kian can defend himself if need be and usually just leaves it at that. As long as he's not an active threat to the throne it's just a once in a blue moon kind of situation and Kian understands he'll probably never be free from it his entire life since he will always be a threat to whoever is king or queen just by his blood alone.
