1st Chakra

Muladhara is the center of subtle energy circulation. Through it, the energies of the planet penetrate the subtle energy system and put you in touch with the energy of Mother Earth. It is the source of life force for other energy centers.

The archetype that represents a balanced root chakra is the Good Mother: If you live the Good Mother archetype, you certainly feel a deep and personal connection with Earth and its creatures. You are calm and incapable of losing your temper. You respect and defend all forms of life, for you recognize that from the mosquito to the elephant, from the fungus to the sequoia, from you to your greatest enemy, everything comes from the same origin: God (or whatever you believe).

The Root chakra is related to the creative power of sexual energy. When this chakra is weakened, it indicates disorders of sexuality or endocrine dysfunctions of the gonads. When excessively energized, they indicate excessive hormones, exacerbated sexuality or even the presence of tumors on the spot.

In the hypothesis of imbalance by hypofunction (lack, or breakdown of energy in the chakra flow), you appear to play the role of the Victim. In this case, the tendency to retract. So you can break a foot to prevent yourself (unconsciously, of course) from continuing to do what you did, or from going where you used to go, and so you think you are a disgrace.

Hyperfunctional imbalance can also trigger the experience of a foot fracture, but now, to force you to stop. If this is your case, you have chosen to refuse the Victim’s wardrobe and preferred that of the Greedy, whose motivation is different. This case is verified, whether you voluntarily surrender to an excess of activity, or let yourself be enslaved in the job. In both cases, however, the result is the same: a strong possibility of accumulation of tiredness and tension, which are the chambers of frustration and aggression, and therefore of accidents and consequent discomfort.
