I would like to welcome you to another edition of Friday Puzzles. It's true that lately, I haven't been able to release them on Fridays, so maybe I should rename them to weekend riddles. Hopefully, that time frame should be more manageable for me. :D
Chtěla bych Vás přivítat u dalšího vydání pátečních hádanek. Je pravdou, že v poslední době je v pátek moc nestíhám vydávat, takže bych je možná měla přejmenovat na víkendové. To už snad je časový interval, do kterého bych se mohla vejít. :D
This week, we participated as lecturers at the Children's University. That's why I decided to focus these riddles more towards children again. However, I think this riddle can puzzle adults as well. For example, @frb2 spent some time on it before solving it.
Tento týden jsme se účastnili jako lektoři na dětské univerzitě. A proto jsem se rozhodla tyto hádanky opět věnovat spíše dětem. Ale myslím si, že tato hádanka může potrápit i dospělé. Například @frb2 nad ní nějaký ten čas strávil, než jí vyřešil.
One evening, a farmer was walking home from the market when he came across an injured wolf. He felt sorry for the wolf and decided to take it home and nurse it back to health. Unfortunately, he didn't sell everything that day at the market, so he was carrying a rabbit and a basket full of carrots back home. During the journey, he had to keep an eye on both the wolf and the rabbit because the rabbit was trying to eat the basket full of carrots, and the wolf was trying to eat the rabbit.
The farmer lives on the other side of a river, which can only be crossed using a small boat. However, the boat is small, so the farmer can only take one thing or animal with him at a time. How can the farmer ensure that the wolf doesn't eat the rabbit and the rabbit doesn't eat the basket full of carrots?
Jednoho večera šel sedlák z tržiště a po cestě potkal raněného vlka. Bylo mu vlka líto, a proto se rozhodl jej vzít k sobě domů a vyléčit ho. Bohužel ten den na tržišti neprodal vše, takže si zpátky domů nesl králíka a košík plný mrkve. Během cesty však musel vlka a králíka hlídat, protože králík se snažil sníst košík plný mrkve a vlk se snažil sníst králíka.
Sedlák bydlí na druhé straně řeky, přes kterou je možné se dostat pouze pomocí loďky. Ale bohužel loďka je malá, takže si sebou sedlák může vždy vzít jen jednu věc nebo zvíře. Jak to má sedlák udělat tak, aby vlk nesnědl králíka a králík nesnědl košík plný mrkve?
