The name is Bonni, is a Yorkshire, this breed dog product of the combination of Scottish and English terrier, which originated when a part of the population of Scotland was displaced, due to the Industrial Revolution, and settled in England. Although small, the Yorkshire has the characteristics of courage and tenacity of the terrier. The Yorkshire readily admits all kinds of people. He is active, overprotective, loves to be the center of attention, and will not show the gentle temperament that is seen in lap dogs (which is a consequence of his independent nature to work without human help when he was raised to hunt rodents). It is an easy breed to train, as long as the owner is constant. Like any dog, it needs exercise in relation to its capacity and physical fitness.

Bonni, is 4 years old, four years that have enlivened my life, faithful companion, always attentive to my arrival to receive me with love and great impetuosity of habit, many times coming to urinate of the emotion to see me, always happy and glad of the human company, expressing it on the outside with a lick, a bark or jumping around me. It's amazing how an animal can often express more affection and affection than a human being, eh even see my little Bonni's exteriorized behavior, it makes me reflect, rethink the aptitudes of life, reconfigure even the thought of the human, it is say; Can a dog be more human than a human? The question seems contradictory, however, reviewing the history, much of the war, social and political conflicts, among others, have been due to intolerance, not accepting one another, not understanding the reality of the other, for lack of otherness. In this sense I would like to share the anecdote of Emmanuel Lévinas, an important philosopher and writer.

Emmanuel Lévinas tells that a stray dog appeared in the concentration camp in which he was. The prisoners, who dreamed of North America and the Americans, called the dog Boby and he got used to greeting them with happy barks when they formed in the morning or around work.

"For him - it was unquestionable - we were men".

"No man, but a dog recognized us as human beings, only an animal recomposed the humanity that the human being was destroying. How much do we owe to the other?"

"To think ethically the link between the human and the animal is to think about our responsibility for the suffering of others. Who are our animals today?"

Extraordinary and curious anecdote of Levinas, where being in the Nazi concentration camps, a dog regales them as human beings, he felt great affection and appreciation, showing an extraordinary gesture of humanity and appreciation of his condition, something that other people in that context of the war did not do it. Now things like these have led me to deep reflection, as not appreciate these little but extraordinary beings, who in their short human life, fill us with so many joys, sorrows, dislikes, among many other feelings. for them and for my Bonni, this post is dedicated, and this reflection.
