I want to tell you about a trip I made about a month ago, an expedition to a hidden and wonderful place inside the mountains of my beloved town; (Cordillera Central de los Andes, Colombia) together with me, 20 people traveled, including two guides, the person in charge of communications and a para-medic.
El Páramo is a place rich in biodiversity and free of carbon footprint (CO2), because of this all the expedition members agree to return with all our garbage, so as not to affect this beautiful place with our pollution. Among so much biodiversity I am very interested in a plant that grows in high altitude areas, the Frailejón, a plant with broad and velvety leaves that reaches two meters in height, has a great absorption of moisture from the air turning it into water thanks to its velvety characteristic; I am amazed by a large lake called Laguna Negra and it is located in the abyss of Páramo, I want to share with you how the Frailejón looks near the lake ... Wonderful!
This was a magical trip, we were all amazed by this beautiful place uninhabited by the human being; When we were on our way to Laguna Negra, one of the guides recommended that we do not make loud noises as we approached, since there are myths about this lagoon and one of them is that if you make noise, the lagoon becomes cloudy as if it had a defense system .. As if the guide had not told us anything, some came making noise to the lagoon and it immediately became cloudy, I do not know if it was a coincidence but it was real, a big thick cloud under the lagoon and we had to leave quickly, the mysteries of Mother Nature amazing me and that's why I love her.
