My husband and I have been wanting to check this place out since it opened and we finally took the plunge the other day!
I am in love with it now!!
So first of all, to alleviate concerns I had initially, there's a separate room where you pay for an hour of cat time and get your food and drinks.
You also sign a waiver basically saying if the cat claws your eyes out it's not their fault, which I think is fair enough! LoL
Oh, and by the way it's unlimited refills :)
Then you head over through the doors to the cat room! They've really decorated this place with class, beautiful human furniture and tons of adorable cat furniture as well!
They also have all kinds of cat related games and books everywhere, it's adorable and hilarious!
In the cafe area the have lots of merch too :)
There were nine cats there while we visited but that number changes regularly as the kitties get adopted! The cats at this cafe come from the SAFE team rescue based out of Edmonton, they've been around for many years and are a great organization that has saved hundreds of animals.
We had a great first trip and would absolutely visit again! I know they've recently announced the opening of another cat cafe downtown, this one will have cats coming from the Edmonton Humane Society. I'll likely have to take a trip to that one too!
