Volvo EX30 unveiled.

Volvo today presented a long-announced model - EX30.

It is a small urban SUV created on the same platform as the Smart #3, Zeekr X and Linc & Co 01.

There will be two drive variants (one and twin motor) and two types of batteries. For customers driving short distances, the company offers a single-engine model with an LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) battery, cheaper and less resource-intensive to produce. Onward travel customers can choose between an NMC battery (lithium, nickel, manganese and cobalt). In this option, the single-engine model achieves a range of up to 480 km.

The twin-engine variant has a power of 315 kW (428 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds. The charging power is 134 kW - 152 kW, respectively. Approximate charging time from 10 d0 80% - about 25 min.

Of the safety systems, a radar that warns the driver of an approaching cyclist when trying to get out of a parked vehicle is new. Also new is Park Pilot Assist that handles all parking spaces; parallel, perpendicular and oblique. It can identify free parking spaces on both sides of the road, the driver can touch the selected parking space and the system will park independently.

The car can already be ordered and Volvo informs that next year there will also be a Cross Country version with increased ground clearance.

In Europe, the price starts from 36,000 EUR
