The prototype Group B rally car based on the Mk3 Escort, it was known as Project Columbia.

This car used the previously used engine out of the Mk2 Escort RS1800 rally car the BDA, Cosworth 1178cc which had the cc reduced, as well other major revisions.

The primary addition was turbo charging it, allowing it to put out an output exceeding 350bhp reliably.

They even considered a 2.3L.

For homologation 200 cars were going to be made and 4 road car versions were produced as well as 18 prototypes.

The project was eventually scrapped which didn't go down well with boreham engineers, as a 4x4 rally car was needed, the RS200 with the famed BDT Cosworth engine.

The car was renamed the RST and used in South African rallying where homologation wasn't a requirement.
