Land Rover is testing the new Defender!!

Land Rover is working on a successor to the iconic Defender. The test work with that new robust offroader now seems to have begun.
No, Land Rover is not testing here with a new variant for his Range Rover family. The technology of the new generation Defender is tested under these camouflaged coaches of the Range Rover Sport. In the photo of the rear we seem to see independent rear suspension, a novelty for the new Defender. Whether that means that Land Rover says goodbye to the ladder chassis, remains to be seen.

It is still a big mystery how the new Defender will be formed. Land Rover already gave a preview of the Defender follow-up with the Concept 100, but it is reported that the car does not look like that. The new Defender should be even better in the field, but the coach is probably "less hardcore" than that of the series that went out of production in early 2016. The Defender DNA would be retained, although the car should get a significantly more modern look to attract new customers.

With that, Land Rover does not seem to follow the same path as Mercedes-Benz and Jeep, brands that make the new generations of the G-class and the Wrangler look like their predecessor as two drops of water.
