Canadian Government Targetting Native Pot Dispensaries

So for decades Canada's natives have maintained the nation's tax laws do not apply to on reservation cigarette sales. Even though courts ruled against them, you can still buy illegal smuggled cigarettes on many (most?) reserves across the country. The next battle is shaping up to be marijuana. Natives are asserting that the soon to be implemented tax laws on pot do not apply to them. Some "illegal" dispensaries on native lands are getting shut down by tribal police, while others are booming. The government says status natives will be exempt from the sales tax on legal pot, but the battle will be if they are able to sell it to anyone.

There is a pretty big reservation on the edge of my city, I probably wont drive all the way down there to save a dollar a gram, but many people will. Government claims cannabis regulation isn't about money, but it clearly is. This is a chance to bring jobs to the poorest demographic in the country and I wish them luck!
