Canadian based singer/songwriter Ed Roman sets the tone in the floor-stompin’ intro of his latest single, ‘Tomorrow is Today’. From its opening bars, the listener is reminded of Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ by the track’s unrelenting, pounding rhythmic foundation. As the song builds, a combination of electronic and acoustic instrumentation weaves in and out between the groove. Roman projects confidence with a modern sound that infuses blues, rock and funk in a seamless mix of sonic craftsmanship. ‘Tomorrow is Today’ has a radio-friendly chorus, that is perhaps too sophisticated for the mainstream, but will find a comfortable home on alternative playlists. A creative Moog influenced lead synth line provides a melodic hook, which lingers long after the track’s conclusion. As Roman sings, ‘Yesterday’s gone…’, so download ‘Tomorrow is Today’ while it’s hot.
