I took this photo at the Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat in Toronto. Monarch butterfly can not survive long cold winter. They migrate to warmer places like Mexico and California in the fall. However, no butterflies migrate like the Monarchs of North America. They travel much farther than all other tropical butterflies, up to three thousand miles. It takes few generations to complete this journey.
