The Terriers managed an impressive 1-1 draw against last year's champions Chelsea yesterday night at Stamford Bridge, on the back of another impressive 0-0 draw against the current champions Man.city last week.

A point was enough from yesterday's match for Huddersfield, as they are now on 37 points, 4 points above the relegation zone, with one match remaining before the end of the season.

The visitors went ahead in the 50th minute, thanks to Laurent Depoitre, but Marcos Alonso grabbed the equaliser for The Blues 12 minutes later.

It's a huge achievement for a club with Huddersfield's resources, who surprised everyone with their promotion last season, and now they have pulled off another major achievement by securing their safety.

The result meant bad news for the hosts though, as they now face an uphill battle to secure a top 4 finish and their only way to qualify for next season's Uefa Champions League is if they beat Newcastle away from home, and Liverpool loose to Brighton at Anfield, a ground which they have not lost a Premier League game for over a year.

The result also meant bad news for Swansea City, as they now need a miracle to survive. They are behind by 9 goals on goal difference to Southampton, who are the only remaining hope for The Swans to survive.
