Pawn Stars is a hit reality show on the History Channel that crosses "Antiques Roadshow" with "American Choppers." It takes place at the Gold & Silver Pawnshop in Las Vegas, Nevada. Open since 1988, Rick and his family, Corey "Big Hoss" and Richard "The Old Man" have been running the business 24 hours a day.
Customers bring in just about everything from antiques, art, guns, motorcycles, boats, gold, and even a weather balloon, to pawn or to sell. The show has been popular because of its documentary nature, the depiction of tension between the cast members, and the interaction between them and their customers. Viewers are also treated to commentary and historical background of the items brought in, making Pawn Stars an entertaining program but holding true to the History Channel's educational tradition.
The show aired on June 26, 2009, and you can catch two new episodes every Monday at 10PM Eastern Standard Time on the History Channel.
It is literally the best show in the whole wide world and I highly recommend that everyone and everyone you know watches it. It will literally knock your socks off something fierce and you won't even know it because it's just that awesome. You won't want to watch any other show in existence, and that's a fact.
