Grasshoppers are animals that undergo imperfect metamorphosis. Imperfect metamorphosis is a metamorphosis that only has 3 stages, namely egg, nymph, and imago (adult). Where the physical appearance between nymph and imago is not much different. Another difference is the physical appearance of nymphs and imago insects that undergo perfect metamorphosis very differently. Examples of insects with perfect metamorphosis are beetles, butterflies, bees and wasps.
