In the human mind the future is five, ten or twenty years from now. But in actual sense the future is today.
Today is the future we referred to several years ago. Therefore building the future begins from today. What we’ll meet in the future will be a function of what we are doing today. The investment of today will be the harvest of the future. There are things we are doing today that may not be yielding so much result but as we keep at it a future is already been built.
- Building the future will require that we discover God’s ultimate purpose for our lives right from today. If you have not discovered the purpose for your existence then you are leaving the future to chances. The journey into a great future actually begins from discovering divine purpose and we begin to work on it. Just imagine anyone that you know that is doing great and touching lives on a global scale today; they must have discovered their niche somewhere along the line several years ago. As a believer I strongly believe we have a greater advantage by the help of the Holy Spirit to truly know where we belong. That will save our time and energy investing our lives at the right place.
2 We also build the future as we build our faith. The capacity to handle life and mount above obstacles will be determined by the depth of our faith. It’s easier to develop our faith in a time of “peace” than to wait until a “crisis” breaks out. Building your faith is a personal adventure, you have to do it or else its left undone. Build up your faith in God today.
3 We also build the future as we make all the necessary sacrifice today.* Life will place demands on you either on the job, in your business etc. The price you are willing to pay will determine the future you’ll see.

Lord empower me afresh by your Spirit to walk in purpose and make all the required sacrifice today.
