At some point in life, the human being has wondered about its existence if he could live eternally. So far this has been reflected in textbooks and science fiction films. Who would say that a being of our planet could possess this extraordinary quality.
Its name is Turritopsis dohrnii, it is a very tiny being that barely reaches four (4) millimeters in diameter. Its body is composed of 95% water, which makes its physical structure transparent and gelatinous with a visual exposure of its reddish stomach. It lives in the depths of the Mediterranean Sea and belongs to one of the families of invertebrates known as jellyfish.
This friendly jellyfish, perceived by its cube-shaped head, long tentacles and beautiful luminescence in the dark, is also capable of reversing its life cycle when it reaches its adult stage. This phenomenon is known as transdifferentiation, which the animal goes through a biological regression that allows you to return to the tender childhood that saw it born, thus escaping death indefinitely.
You can achieve this feat because you have discovered the way to modify your cells, making it go back to previous phases as a polyp and then the latter again becomes a completely new jellyfish without losing any of its characteristics or capabilities during the change.
Although this process has not been observed in its natural habitat, scientists have certified up to sixty (60) continuous cycles in one hundred (100)% of individuals.
