Food, Friends, and Workshops

We were blessed to be able to host 2 workshops on the same day last week. It was a lot to handle but everyone involved felt full till we finished.

Aside from feeling full because of our gracious friend Chavo and his homemade tacos, we all enjoyed quality information and inspiration to grow our businesses.

Our first workshop was on taxes. There are a mix of new and established businesses in our community and one item we wish to provide is solid tax advice. Taxes are not something you want to fudge on so we are grateful for Ron Houp and the time he provided to educate us.

Our second workshop was on social entrepreneurship. Some of our friends from Selma, Alabama stopped in to share what they are doing amongst the community there to train new entrepreneurs in the work of the kingdom. It is amazing how stories lift our spirits and encourage us to continue in our own journey.

Bob, William, and his team are doing incredible work in Selma and they were gracious enough to offer an internship to people here in our community to work with them over the summer - we had several people interested after the event.

We continue to pursue people and ideas to fulfill the God-given mission of @thefoundry. We want entrepreneurs to have the resources and the connections to grow their businesses. It has only been a few months but we are off to a good start.

The Foundry exists to recruit, disciple, and resource Christian entrepreneurs in their endeavors. We believe in being the bridge between business school, and business ownership.
