Social media is the best place bar none to get leads and traffic. Every day, millions of people (if not billions – Facebook has 2 billion alone every month!) in your niche are online, talking and ready to hear your message. However, without trust, you’re not going to get very far.

So how can you establish and build that trust so you become a go-to for information and products in your niche? Well, the first thing is simple: be consistent. Nobody likes it when someone is constantly contradicting themselves, and it’s an instant trust turnoff.

This ties into authenticity as well – people want to believe that what they are seeing is real, and not fake. You can achieve this simply by being yourself and opening up and revealing who are. Don’t be a fake caricature – people can spot that a mile off.

You will also want to publish content that your audience wants to see. After all, this isn’t a friend – this is a quid pro quo of what’s in it for me? You want the sale – they need something too. In this case, it’s great information in their niche. This is absolutely essential. If you’re in the balloon niche, don’t post content about politics – and vice-versa! Unless, of course, the two worlds somehow get combined…

All in all, there is no rocket science involved here – it’s a case of putting yourself out and building a relationship that will work best here.
