Brock Pierce: No Longer Partnered With EOS Project

The HBO night show, “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver”, dedicated his most recent broadcast to talk about cryptocurrencies. Explaining simply how blockchain and bitcoin work. John Oliver, the anchor of the program, has also talked about the Block.one project, EOS.

Oliver said that EOS obtained $ 1.5 billion in nine months in its ICO (Initial Offer of Cryptocurrency) to “develop a software project” that some media claim that “has no purpose.” In addition, Oliver highlighted Brock Pierce’s statements about

The EOS development team was quick to respond to John Oliver’s show,(Which has millions of viewers per show). found it “prudent to share some information” that Oliver did not air.

The statement addressed to Block Chainiver, Oliver’s name used during the show to refer to companies that changed their name to increase value, clarifies that Brock Pierce was one of the first investors in the EOS.IO project, “with experience in Ethereum and Blockchain Capital that was a great contribution for us. ” However, since a week ago he is not part of the EOS team “by mutual agreement”.

Brock Pierce, who is also a board member of the Bitcoin Foundation, has represented the EOS.IO project in numerous presentations. Being the last posted in EOS Twitter last Tuesday, March 5, just one week before the letter was published.

However, the incident of Pierce’s withdrawal from the project and with Oliver’s mockery, has made social media followers suspicious, because it may be a media move to get the ex-member out the door.

Despite the doubts, Brock’s recent activities support Block. One statement, as Brock has started a new project on blockchain in Puerto Rico, and inaugurated The Leading Conference of Decentralization on March 14.
