Body Issue

I see so much on social media about body acceptance. The opinions, the haters, accepters, etc. In my opinion, there is a false ideology of what the human body, both male and female, is suppose to look like. Yes, there is a real and frightening obesity issue but there is also an unrealistic view of what is healthy.

Genetics do govern your body type and size, so yes there is such a thing as the larger frame body and the petite frame, you can not change them, no matter what. But with so much processed food, filled with extra added sugars (fats were just falsely accused), even in “Health Foods”, your not going to win a weight fight, until you change your eating habits. And no, eating less is not the answer! Eating right is.

Doctors and Dietitians also believe that there is a size chart for your body (the Obesity range) but that is still based on the Male and Female catwalk model (I.e. the media ideology), not totally in reality. There is a realistic body size and it is not ‘One-size-fits-all’, but as individual as a fingerprint.

Once you move away from most processed, added sugar loaded foods (it is impossible to get away from them all, chocolate anyone?), start an active lifestyle (it dose not need to be exclusively a gym, just get mobile), your body will settle on its desired healthy weight and/or size, not yours.

That is why Michelle and I took hold of the JBT program and the magic beans (just real foods jam packed into a capsule). Because it offers great recipes with real food, helpful advice and simple yet effective exercises.

And above all else, remember this. Your body size/type is beautiful to someone, but your heart and mind is the sexiest.

P.S. Did you know that the predominate ‘perfect’ body size historically, for the last 10000 plus years, has been somewhere between sizes 14 to 20! The Twiggy/Model (less than 14) size has only been around since the advent of style magazines (1920’s).
