I did try, like literally i took a moment, put my hand on my chin, pulled that concentration face and everything but nothing was coming, sorry, i did try but the title just never arrived — I’m sure it’s on lay away somewhere eh?
I was looking at the steemdapps.com website yesterday, it was showing around 10k of active users spread across those dapps, I’m sure there are more in other little pockets of steem but these are the main tracked ones in my mind, it’s a fairly good baseline.
I remember when we all used to get hype about hitting one million registered users, these days it’s 10k of regular users a day, seems like a massive departure away from where things were, have we jumped the shark — steem certainly feels more like dalnet then efnet right now (og irc heads will understand)
That being said a lot of development has happened and got pushed in the last six months and that is to be applauded, certainly feels like not going out without a fight situation and it’s great to see SMT happening too although I’m not ‘counting’ on them to bring a mass exodus of users here.
I’ve started making video ads on Fiverr, i realise i really enjoy making them, animating them to the best i can in the apps i have and I’m excited to learn motion to take that to the next level when I’ve stabilised my income streams — i think i could really make some bad ass animated stuff if i deep dive that software enough.
Think tomorrow I’ll work on a screenflow template layout for the top ten dapps on steem, mainly for pushing regular updates via twitter but also to sell the pack on Gumroad as well so other people can customise it and make their own videos quickly — we certainly need someone to pick up the twitter baton!
Is it me or is time getting faster? I can’t believe that September is nearly done, i can barely keep up with everything, the days have turned into weeks, literally i get all excited for the start of a week and boom we are at the end of it, maybe it’s because I’ve been concentrating on the hours per day and not fully enjoying the whole day, dunno — maybe i need to do more walking and be present a lot more.
Communities sound interesting to me, more so than tribes ever did. I’m just not sold on using lots of tags for different ‘tribes’ and getting MORE tokens for it — communities, actual groups of people that similar interests around a certain thing, that’s more interesting to me. Especially if they are white listed people, like little groups of 15/20 people would be max i could cope with i think mentally — that should be a thing, fixed group sizes.
Maybe also weight it on ‘activity’ as well so people who fall off from posting while people are waiting to ‘get in’ get bumped back into the holding pattern group of people looking to come in, maybe use some of the same consensus logic to do something there, build in a kinda VIP list and make sure it’s social media connected so that tweets and emails go out when people make it into the group, kinda adds an air of exclusivity about it.
Might make those who feel they are ‘missing’ out on something a bit more willing to ‘get on the list’ and write better content because they know they need to post to keep in the group, i can imagine the first few posts would be better seeing as the group is small and i imagine potentially supportive.
Anyway, that’s all I’ve got this morning, my head is into animating things this morning and getting supplies so i better go and sort all that out eh?
