Archaeologists have confirmed that over 400,000 ton of rocks had to be scooped out to build this structure. the most stunning fact about this temple is that this temple was build in just 18 years with old day eqipments like sickles, machetes, knives etc , whereas with modern eqipments one cannot build this temple in less than 400 years.according to some experts and scholars 5 ton of rocks were removed every hour during construction.

In the year 1682 , Aurangzeb after invasion on India passed an order to destroy the temple. thousands of soldiers were employed to execute the order and worked for 3 years but they even couldn't even tarnish the beauty of the temple .Few statues were vandalised and they have to leave on vain.
