It's my 9th day here in Steemit and I'm sharing with you 9 things why we should start blogging! I'll be also answering the HOW, WHERE and WHEN should we start blogging, I'll be posting it here soon on my blog. Make sure to follow me for updates! 😊
- Your favorite social networking sites come and go
Yes, networking sites like facebook, twitter, instagam are very trendy right now but remember what happened to friendster, multiply and yahoo messenger? Time will come when all of your favorite sites will shut down. Your blog is your own domain, therefore, it's for yours to keep forever.
- Enhance your writing skills
Blogging will make you love writing. At first, you're going to doubt your skills and maybe you'll be scared of the feedback of the readers regarding your content, how it was written and everything in it, but eventually you will realize that blogging is a perfect platform to hone your craft in writing.
- You can express yourself
You always need to put your heart, mind and soul when you are writing. When you use these 3 requirements in writing, believe me, 200 words are not enough to express yourself! Hahaha
- Widen your network even more
Through your blog, you will get a chance to interact with talented individuals across the world. Sharing your ideas, commenting on their blogs, upvoting and resteeming their posts, and following them are the easiest way to meet new friends.
- Your blog, Your space
Right! Your blog is your own space in the online world! That means you are the boss of your blog and you have the right to do/write whatever you want to. You can right your latest addiction, your new favorite food, the latest movie you've watched, your breakup, in short, anything. Your blog, your rule.
- Blogging can make money
Blogging can make your post turn into real cash. Yes, you're right, real cash! You're writing something you love and at the same time, you're earning! Well, I'm not telling you guys to quit your job for blogging but if you would simply like to earn money (well, who doesn't?) this can make a great side income.
- You will be an inspiration to other people
In blogging you can be an example to your readers so you should make sure that you'll be authentic and true to yourself. You might have the same interests with your readers and making them inspired with your stories is the best thing you will earn and that makes blogging so fulfilling.
- You can build your brand
You should validate expertise because you need to think of your blog is your new resume. You need create quality content that will make your readers think that you are skilled and knowledgeable. You should also know how to market yourself online.
- Self-assessment and self-development
So far, I was shocked with my performance in writing/ blogging. Who would have thought that I can write something like this? What I'm trying to say is, with just a short period of time I can say that I improved a lot and I believe there's so much more to develop (And I'm so excited!!!) Aside from the skills, you can also develop values like creativity, discipline, and etc. Through blogging, you can assess yourself on what you were before and what you have become now.
