Five Acts Of Kindness We Should All Be Doing!

1. FORGIVE A DEBT

Sometimes we face a situation where a family member or a friend owes us a small debt. Sometimes circumstances doesn’t allow them to settle it. They’re unemployed or they really struggling financially. The debt then becomes a obstacle in the relationship; and causes undue tension. At times we should consider forgiving the debt to save the relationship.

2. WATCH YOUR NEIGHBOUR’S HOUSE

Often we are in a position to keep an eye on the neighbours’ house. They should let us know when they are not at home or when they are out of town so that we are able to monitor for suspicious activity around the property. This does cost us anything, yet it helps build a great rapport with our neighbours.

3. GIVE AWAY LEFTOVER FOOD

How often do we not complete our meal, whether it is at home or at a restaurant? We often consider this food to be waste. Sometimes this food simply accumulates in the fridge until it goes bad. Why not get into the habit of giving it to a homeless person on the way from a restaurant; or to someone in our neighbourhood that truly needs it.

4. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE

We all have opportunities to encourage friends and family; whether it is a word of wisdom or an expression of comfort. This is we can do at work, home at our place of worship or at a social group. Even if there is nothing we can say, encourage them with our time and presence.

5. DONATING OLD CLOTHING

Another great way of showing kindness is to donate old clothing. Each time we purchase new clothing we should consider donating the old item. This will prevent cluttere in our cupboards and help put a smile on someone’s face.
