Here you can see a fabulous oil painting made by the German painter Josef Schertel (1810 - 1869) and he had a special passion for landscape painting and also in this work this comes to light well. His works are particularly known for being lively and through the chosen colors and the attention to detail the work creates a great atmosphere and he is known for having dedicated himself to historical topics and also to expand his knowledge in this field early on and also in this artwork he dedicated himself to the possenhofen castle. The castle is very famous and was considered the place of residence of the Empress Elisabeth of Austria (1837 - 1898) who also became Queen of Hungary in her later life and she was considered extremely diverse and was very popular during her ruling period and was admired throughout Europe. Josef Schertel already developed a passion for art in his early years and worked as a lithographer and in 1830 he decided to study history and attended the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich and after his studies he decided to concentrate fully on art and he decided to stay in the region and rarely traveled. He liked to visit quiet places in nature and was inspired by his works and he had a unique style and I particularly like the exposure and he was especially influenced by the art style of naturalism and he also had a good taste when it comes to the right colors. During one of his few excursions he met the painter Daniel Fohr (1801 - 1862) who had a great influence on him and strongly inspired his works and the two quickly connected some friendship and Fohr also recommended him to other artists and so he also got to know the painter and writer Christian Morgenstern (1871 - 1914) who also shaped his works and taught him a lot.
