MOVIE REVIEW // Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange is the film adaptation of the Marvel comic with the same name. It follows Dr. Stephen Strange on a journey of physical and spiritual healing that draws him into the world of mystic arts. A man who thought he knew everything, realizes that there is so much more to the mind than he ever could have imagined. This movie also shows and proves that the Marvel Universe is much bigger than we thought, and shows no signs of slowing down. This movie was released into theaters on November 4, 2016 and was directed by Scott Derrickson.

It stars an unbelievably talented cast, with names such as:
Benedict Cumberbatch
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Rachel McAdams
Benedict Wong
Mads Mikkelsen
Tilda Swinton
& Benjamin Bratt

Now before watching this one I definitely expected it to be like every other Marvel movie that's been releasing like crazy. But, it wasn't really like all the others, in my opinion. It's a little more than just a super hero movie. It's a movie about the amazing things the mind can do when you tap into your spirituality. This is without a doubt the psychonauts super hero movie. If you drop acid or eat mushrooms, do so, then give this movie a watch. Yes, you can definitely add Doctor Strange to movies to watch while trippin' out. It without a doubt will be enjoyable. While I never really even knew Doctor Strange before this movie came out, I enjoyed it just as much as anyone else did. So, whether you read the comics or not, I'm sure you'll enjoy this film either way.

A lot of people don't like special effects in movies too much. They say that it takes away from the realistic view of the movie. I personally don't give a damn. Good special effects deserve applause, honestly. This movie would be nothing with it's special effects. I think the cool shit you get to see in the movie alone makes it worth the watch. I watched this in theaters and it did not disappoint. I give this movie a 5/5. Probably one of my favorite super hero movies so far. At least in the Marvel Universe. Give it a watch!
