A Happy Whiskey Wednesday Finale, including a trip to a local distillery, Enjoy!

Can you imagine a crossover between Marving Gaye's "Let's Get It On" and Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud"?
Well no need to try, just press play to hear this genius combination song performed by my incredible brother, the perfect music to take you on tonight's tour through bottles and bottles of liquor so fine, you'd be hard-pressed to find their equals:

So this is going to be the last Whiskey Wednesday post I do until next winter! From now until the weather turns frigid again, a new post will be running in its place...

Dreemit's world introduces: Happy Wine Trail Wednesdays!

Every week I am going to be visiting a local winery of the Finger Lakes Region of New York, bringing you to fascinating new places and taking you through delectable tastings.

So I thought bringing you along with me to a local distillery-and not just any distillery, one owned by one of my closest friends older brothers, would be the perfect way to end it.

Now this wouldn't be a Happy Whiskey Wednesday post if I didn't fill you in on the backstory:

Once upon a time a group of friends of mine on social media (when facebook was in its fledgling stages) started the tradition of Happy Whiskey Wednesday as a way of bringing some fun to the middle of a work week.

It was our own cyber happy hour...s. We would post kick-ass, upbeat songs to one another; we even turned it into a contest at one point as to who could bring the most fun and excitement to the party. Often the hilarity would go on into the night, with dozens of ridiculous pictures (and comments of course) added to the mix.

So if you feel the urge please do join in the fun, either by making your own post or posting down below in the comments with videos or anecdotes, or really anything that floats your boats!

But first, it's Tour Time!

My friend, Michael Myer...no, not Michael Myers of Austin Powers. No! Not the ski mask wearing chainsaw wielding Michael Myers from Halloween! Mike Myer without the s, first introduced me to his brother Joe years ago at a party, and needless to say, it did not come as a surprise when I learned of him opening a distillery.

I think the three sample rule is a whole lot of bollocks--maybe for the 'DD', but if you're a passenger? What are they worried about, alcohol poisoning from three 'quarter' shots? Pfft.

Well, them's the rules, so you have to choose wisely. Being friend's with the brother has it's perks, in this case I've already tried a number of the delicious choices they offer so it was much easier to narrow it down.

I was surprised to find that the whiskey ended up being my favorite...err, oops, did I just nearly admit to not being a huge whiskey fan? Me of the Whiskey Wednesday posts?

I'm afraid that's true. I am much more of a micro-brew or a nice light wine kind of girl, but Whiskey Wednesday has such a nice ring to it!

All in all a rather fine outing. One I feel I should end on an an upbeat whiskey lover's note. So please enjoy Gaelic Storm's Nancy Whiskey.

Goodbye my Whiskey Wednesday's, see you when it snows!
