This time I will tell you about my climb to Mount Merapi in Aceh, the district is really lively. This is my ascent in youth activities to become a regular member of a nature lover's organization.
In a nature lover organization, every young member is obliged to carry out outdoor activities in which there are material elements that are practiced and the results of these activities are recorded for presentation to the senior board parties. This activity is called LANTAP (permanent member training).
This activity was joined by several generations because at that time we were still in two batches, so batches one and two participated in this activity. On the way there are several materials that we practice, one of which is navigation material. In navigation, we remap the paths that have been used by climbers for a long time.
We have to adjust this trip to the schedule that we designed in the discussion of the early stages of the activity. Each team member has a different task, this time I was assigned to apply survival material. Survival materials are materials that are easy for us to learn but very difficult to practice.
There are several aspects that must be seen for a survivor both in terms of conditions and also the plants in the area that the city is going to. It's not as easy as we imagine it is because the conditions in the field are very different from those in urban areas. This is what causes humans who carry out activities in the wild to find it difficult to survive in an emergency like this.
Well, here we have to really study the material related to survival, and we have to remember the reason why we have to do survival, the cause is the provision that is not in accordance with the time we need. The point is to know where you are going first. And one more cause of survival is natural conditions, this is a reason that is difficult to guess but still readable in the natural conditions we are aiming for.
Before you get to know more about the material I talked about above, it's better if you study the travel material management first, because this material determines the places and supplies that you will eat there, and you should never underestimate these materials. If you don't understand the climbing procedure, it's better if you go with those who understand.
Before you take a step to go to an area that you don't know yet, you should save the desire to visit it, if you really want to go, you should go with a friend who already knows the place.
